Biography
Courtney Corey Armstrong, born Courtney Corey is a notable A.E.A and S.A.G eligable actor, singer, and dancer. She is best known for her role as Elphaba in the Chicago and Los Angeles productions of Wicked.

Besides playing thew role of Elphaba, Corey also played the part of Maureen in the Benny and Angel national tours of Rent. Corey spent four years with the touring cast of Rent, three years with the Chicago production of Wicked and two years with the Los Angeles production of Wicked. She did voice over work in the movie 29th and Gay. Corey spend most of 1996 preforming at Tokyo Disneyland before joining the cast of Rent in 1998 and staying with Rent for four years. She is married to Matt Armstrong and has a young son, Jack Armstrong. Courtney is a graduate of San Diego State. Most recently, Courtney preformed with former Wicked Co-star, Megan Hilty for the Wicked Good Time Gala at The Island Hotel in California. At the Gala, she received the award for Best Theatre Singer in 2008 by The Philharmonic Society of Orange County, where she beat Megan for the title. http://www.philharmonicsociety.org/ She was featured on the radio station KHTS-FM where she was interviewed on her acting and singing in two major theatre productions and being a new mommy. Courtney is now a communications consultant and specializes in helping people develop their public speaking, presentation, and their creativity skills more efficiently.
