Cotswold Rangers F.C are an English football club currently playing in the Stroud and District League. History In November 2009 the club formed after a group of colleagues working at Ecotricity put the wheels in motion to begin a new team. They started training a few weeks later and began a recruitment drive to get a full squad. Players have come from a variety of places across the region and hence, the name of Cotswold Rangers was chosen, to express the vast geographical locations of their players. A committee was formed to run the club when it was felt the goal of getting the club off the ground could be achieved. Ryan Harmer was appointed chairman, Adam Van Coevorden was appointed secretary and Sam Glanville was appointed treasurer. In January 2010, sponsorship for the club kit was gained from local company Ecotricity. In April 2010, the committee applied to Stroud and District League to be admitted into the league for the upcoming season. The committee then attended the league AGM where the club were accepted into the league. On 4th September 2010, the club played its first ever competitive league match which they won 6-1, beating Hawkesbury Stallions. Ground The Rangers play their matches at Stratford Court Playing Fields which is part of Stratford Park Leisure Centre. Teams Currently the club only has one official team entered into a league.
