ComForcare Senior Services is a franchised provider of private-duty, non-medical home care based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, United States. The company has more than 125 franchise owners who operate 150 territories in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. Caregivers provide professional personal care and companionship services for individuals in many settings including their homes, independent living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or wherever clients reside. Services are provided primarily to seniors, but individuals with disabilities, accident victims, new mothers or those recovering from a recent illness or surgery can also benefit. History President and CEO Mark Armstrong founded ComForcare in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1996. Armstrong used his experience as a market research consultant as well as experience with other staffing operations to identify the growing market and opportunity available - for a modest start-up cost - to provide non-medical, assisted care to the elderly in their own home and other settings. ComForcare grew rapidly and within four years was generating $2 million in annual sales. A franchising program was launched and the first franchise was sold in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in December 2001. The firm has been cited for it's business success by publications such as Entrepreneur Magazine, the San Francisco Examiner, The Florida Times Union, Patch.com, the Contra Cost Times, and the Nashville Business Journal.
