Colette Nelson (born April 5, 1974) is an American professional female bodybuilder, dietitian and web designer. Early life and education Nelson was born in Southfield, Michigan and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan. She studied Dietetics at Michigan State University. She began training with weights at MSU while she was teaching aerobics. After her graduation she moved to New York to further study clinical nutrition at New York University. Bodybuilding career Nelson entered her first bodybuilding contest at age 24, first competing at small local contests where she had several first place finishes. After having gained enough confidence she moved on to her first NPC Nationals bodybuilding contest in 2000, where she finished sixth in the middleweight category. She narrowly missed earning her pro card at the 2002 USA Championship; she won the heavyweight class, but lost the overall title to Rosemary Jennings. She finally earned her pro card in 2004 by winning the IFBB North American and became the only Female Bodybuilder to win 2 pro cards in a year after her incredible win at the WORLD UNIVERSE in Santa Susanna, Spain. She was the only American to win the overall title at the World Universe. Nelson currently lives in New York, New York. Colette has done several viral videos with Amber Lee Ettinger. She is the former co-host of RXMUSCLE.COM's Muscle Girls Inc Radio Show. She is currently still involved in Species Nutrition where she was formally the Vice President.
