Clyde Valley Blackhawks

The Clyde Valley Blackhawks are an American Football team based in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland and are the brain child of veteran player Richard Orr. Currently playing in BAFA Community Leagues Division 2, Scotland Conference. They train and play at Beltane Park, behind Wishaw Sports Centre.
History
Founded in the autumn of 2007, the Blackhawks are the senior branch of the Clyde Valley American Football Organisation which includes youth teams the Clyde Valley Falcons and the Lanarkshire Longhorns. The Blackhawks were admitted to BAFL in 2008 after convincing wins in affiliate games home and away against Cumbria Mariners and Highland Wildcats to secure entry into the British league from 2009.
2009 Season
The Blackhawks' debut season was a success with the team finishing 6-4 and placing second in BAFL Division 2, Scotland Conference with wins over established teams Glasgow Tigers, Lancashire Wolverines, Hull Hornets and Chester Romans as well as fellow debutants Highland Wildcats.
2010 Season
The Blackhawks' second season in League Football sees them in BAFA Community League, Division 2, North Conference with Glasgow Tigers, Highland Wildcats, Edinburgh Wolves and West Coast Trojans. There will also be inter-Conference games with Manchester Titans and newcomers Sheffield Predators.
