Cie Arell

Robert Cie Lealand Arell "Cie" (born December 2, 1988), is an American professional Baseball Assistant Manager and Utility Player for the Joplin Blasters of American Association of Independent Professional Baseball.
Early life and education
Born in Springfield, Missouri, Arell was adopted by Daniel and Meg Arell. He attended Blue Valley High School in Stilwell, Kansas where he played baseball, ice hockey, football, and wrestled. Arell Landed on the Ekl Scholar Athlete Dean’s List for his GPA. He has has Bachelors of Science in Physical Education from Lincoln University and his Masters of Science in Sports Management and Athletic Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Arell attended Maryville University in Saint Louis, Missouri for his freshman year in 2007-2008. After batting 1.000 and going 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and hitting a walk off single against Blackburn University, Arell transferred to North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri. After a successful year at NCMC starting every game at first base, Arell signed with Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri to finish his career and degree in Physical Education. Arell's Senior year was cut short do to a torn Labrum and Rotator Cuff to his throwing shoulder against Emporia State University.
After successful rehabilitation, he signed a Spring Training Contract with the Raton Osos of the Pecos League.
Professional career
2014
Arell led the Osos in Positive Hitter Score, Runs, Triples, Walks, and Stolen Bases. He was second in Hits and Doubles, third in At Bats, and fourth in Home Runs, and RBI batting from primarily from the second spot in the order.
2015
Arell signed with the Blasters in 2015 and was mainly utilized as the Assistant Manager, along with being the Hitting Coach, helping with Batting Practice, and playing when needed.
