Christian Paris

Credited by Time Out magazine and BBC teletext (among others) as being The Godfather of Acid House. Former Art Student and Punk Musician Christian Paris was the brain child of the world famous Alice In Wonderland NightClub that ran from 1983 until 1993 in Soho, London, UK with the help of his resident DJ, Doctor Clive Jackson, also known as the lead singer of the rock group Doctor And The Medics.
As well as running a highly successful nightclub that became a mecca for live music (Doctor and the Medics, The Cult, The Damned, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Mission, The Shamen, Timbuk 3, Daisy Chainsaw to name but a few appeared during regular weekly live band sessions), also responsible for launching the Planet Alice retail stores in Kensington, London and Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Christian was also the idea behind the Alice In Wonderland Magical Mystery Trips that were credited by many, including Rave Magazine, as being the forerunner of Raves and Acid House Parties.
Christian Paris has recently re-kindled his art career and has been included in the Punk And Beyond exhibition in London's Signal Gallery.
