Christian Marolt, (born 6 June 1962) is an Austrian non-profit manager living in Cyprus. He is the founder of several international healthcare management publications. Early life Born in Vienna, Austria, Christian spent most of his childhood in Austria. He grew up at Klopeiner See, a Carinthian lake resort, and Saalbach-Hinterglemm, a ski resort in Salzburg. Having finished secondary school in Kühnsdorf he enrolled in 1977 into Bundeshandelsakademie Völkermarkt, graduating with A-Levels. He studied at Universities in Graz, Vienna and Innsbruck. 1990 he graduated with a master at the University of Innsbruck in business administration. Business career 1990 Christian Marolt started his career at ARAL Austria GmbH. 1992 he was appointed Managing Director of Wall Verkehrsanlagen Austria. 1994 he was appointed as General Manager Advertising (Anzeigenleiter) at KURIER, Vienna. 1995, Director International Sales and Marketing of Filmproduktion Zeggl. 1997, Christian moved to London, United Kingdom working as Director of International Marketing at Global Healthcare Communications Group LTD. As of 1998, Christian commuted weekly to Brussels, Belgium as Chief Executive Officer of Euromedical Communications NV, a specialised pan-European healthcare communications agency. Since 2006 Christian Marolt is Chief Executive Officer of the Brussels-based EMC Consulting Group BVBA. in 2007 he was appointed as Secretary General and Editor-in-Chief of the European Association of Healthcare IT Managers. In 2010 Christian was appointed as Advisor to the Board of MindByte Communications, an international communications agency based in Limassol, Cyprus and served in this position until August 2012. Pan-European activities Since 1987, at the peak of the cold war, the congress “Universities in the eastern and western dialog” was held in Udine, Italy. Realising the incredible potential of a real “united Europe from Gibraltar until the Ural Mountains, Christian Marolt was one of the founding members of the “Organisationskommittee Pro Europa - Organising Committee Pro Europe”, a movement devoted to a united Europe based on friendship. The slogan “European Politicians performing European politics but only pan-European friends will form friendship and understanding in Europe” has proven to be right. Christian Marolt is European Chairman and President in Cyprus. Every year the Europaball (http://www.europaball.org/), one of the foremost summer events in Europe, takes place under the patronage of the Committee. Since 1990 proceeds going towards different charitable projects. Since 2003, the Ball has been supporting the Meningitis Trust in the UK, being thus organised in the loving memory of Chiara Jane Elizabeth Marolt. Event cocooning and mARolTographie Starting with the age of 14, Christian Marolt organized several parties like “Pirate Party”, one of the wildest Wörther See events, “Die Poltergeisternacht”, a magic ghost party in Güssing Castle, Burgenland. Others where “Die Resi und der Alpensepp” in Bad Gastein, "Starship Hollywood", "A magic night in black and white", “SommerCarneval” and his most fabulous “Roman Orgies”. Marolt has a passion for great photos. Based on the advanced Lomo understanding he has developed his own style: mARolTographie. He loves skiing and holds a Private Pilots License.
