Chin Jin is the pen-name of Yu Wenlong (born 1957, Jiangsu, China), a Chinese democracy activist based in Australia. He is the chairman of the Australia branch of the Federation for a Democratic China. He came to Sydney, Australia in 1988 and joined the FDC the following year, after the June 4th incident. He claims his phone has been tapped and his computer hacked due to his work.
Chin criticised Chinese consular official Chen Yonglin over comments Chen made at the time of his defection stating that China operated a network of over 1,000 spies in Australia; Chin worried that such comments could lead to discrimination against the Chinese Australian community.
