Childers Road Retail Park

Childers Road Retail Park is a retail park on the Childers Road in Limerick City. Construction started in late 2003. The centre was bought in 2016 and renamed Limerick One Retail Park. Prior to construction, the site was previously used as a soccer pitch for Granville Rangers.

Wallis , Burton , Dorothy Perkins , Evans ,Miss Selfridges, Argos , Planet Health Fitness, Next , Harry Corry, Petstop, Lifestyle sport , Dunnes Stores, cafe sol, BrandMax , Sports Direct , Boots , The Range, KFC , Pizza Hut and Costa Coffee .
Construction
Phase 1 opened in June 2005 with Atlantic Homecare being its first tenant, Land of Leather opened a few days later, then came JJB Sports, Next, Maplin and Harry Corry. In August, Dunnes the retail park's main anchor opened, it was Limericks first 24hr store. Smyths Toy Superstore opened in August. In October 2005, Lifestyle Sports and Heatons filled up the two last units. All these shops are part of the main building.

Phase 2 construction commenced in June 2005 and it consisted of two small units which would be used for fast food outlets. They were completed in November 2005 and KFC opened, later followed by Pizza Hut.

Phase 3 construction commenced in January 2006 and was finished in late May 2006. Argos opened on the 29th of July 2006. Arcadia opened on August 11. Burton, Wallis Dorothy Perkins and Evans are the stores that opened in the Arcadia Unit.

Criticism
Since the opening of the Retail Park in 2005 it has turned into a notorious traffic blackspot in Limerick adding more traffic and more chaos to the already congested Childers Road.
