Chelene Nightingale is an American anti-illegal immigration activist who is running in the 2010 election for Governor of California as a candidate of the American Independent Party. Since 2005, Nightingale has been a activist organizing rallies and marches in California. Nightingale organized the "Free the Texas Three" march for Deputy Gilmer Hernandez and Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean in Hollywood. The march was featured on the syndicated television program America's Most Wanted. In addition to organizing political events, Nightingale has lobbied as a private citizen in both Sacramento and Washington DC, demanding secure borders and no amnesty. In 2006, she was the campaign manager for Libertarian Party gubernatorial nominee Art Olivier. Early life Nightingale is the daughter of a United States Air Force veteran and was educated at military base schools. Nightingale worked as a model and actress in Seattle, then moved to California in the early 1990s where she continued to work in the entertainment industry in film production and as an actor under the name Chelene Ward. She has one son.
