Charlie P is a singer and MC from Southend, Essex, in England. He has been singing since the age of 5, starting out as a Motown/blues singer before moving into reggae music. In 2011 he began collaborating with Scottish sound system collective Mungo's Hi Fi, working on the album Forward Ever. He has gone on to collaborate with Mungo's Hi Fi on subsequent projects. He has since worked with number of other artists and producers including the Original Bass Foundation, a.k.a. O.B.F Soundsystem, on their 2018 album Ghetto Cycle. He has performed at numerous festivals, including Glastonbury and Boomtown. |
