Cedric Hanriot (born in France) is a musician, composer, arranger, producer and educator.

Fulbright recipient, French pianist and composer Cedric Hanriot has appeared at many prestigious performance venues worldwide including The Iridium New York (USA), the Shanghai Jazz Festival (China), and the Jazz a Vienne Festival (F). Mr Hanriot has also appeared at la Defense Jazz Festival Paris (F), Transe-Atlantique Festival (Morrocco) and the Nicaragua Jazz Festival.

Mr Hanriot has performed with luminaries such as Grammy Award winner singer Siedah Garrett (Michael Jackson, Madonna), drummer Terri Lyne Carrington (Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock), bass player Me’shell NDegeocello, drummer Cindy Blackman , saxophonist Joe Lovano, singers Dean Bowman, Felicia Collins, Nona Hendryx and Joyce Kennedy, and guitar player Mick Goodrick.

Upcoming projects include frogNstein, an electro-groove-jazz project led by Mr Hanriot (compositions, sound programming, piano and keyboards) and Bertrand Beruard (bass and compositions). frogNstein released their first album, 'Electrify My Soul' in 2007 on Cristal Records, the album featured singer Dean Bowman. frogNstein are now working towards the release of their second album. In addition, frogNstein is creating their own 'music with video' experience for their audiences. Here, the audience experiences simultaneous live music and visual entertainment, helping to enrich the frogNstein experience by taking them on a creative journey.

Cedric is currently working with drummer Franck Agulhon, on an acoustic project called 'Cedric Hanriot French Stories'. The acoustic project recently toured Europe, Nicaragua, the US and China. 'Cedric Hanriot French Stories' plays well-known French Folk Songs (Chanson Francaise, Brel, Ferre, Gainsbourg, Aznavour, Piaf) in a Jazz and contemporary style through the use of contemporary grooves such as jungle, groove, world and pop.

In addition to his own projects, Cedric has collaborated with many other leading artists on piano, B3 Hammond Organ, keys, melodica and accordion. He has also composed, arranged and sound designed for an array of musical styles and capacities.

Awards and more
Hanriot has won major composition and solo prizes throughout Europe including the Jazz at St Germain Festival, International Jazz Soloist Contest in Monaco and Enghien les Bains Festival. He has won the prestigious French-American Fulbright Grant, the Arthur King Peters Memorial Grant, the Mary Jane Earnhart Ellison Endowed Scholarship and scholarships to Berklee College of Music, Boston .

Cedric Hanriot has studied with artists such as Danilo Perez, Greg Osby, Jean Michel Pilc, Joe Lovano, Hal Crook.

Mr Hanriot holds a Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Nancy, France. He is currently working towards a Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music, Boston.
