Charles Vue

Charles Vue is a Hmong American Politician and College administrator. Vue was elected to the Eau Claire Area School District Board of Education in 2014. Vue came from Laos to the United States in 1978. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1989 and MSW from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1997. He was a social worker for Eau Claire County for nine years prior to serving as the associate director of the Multicultural Affairs Office at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and as a Hmong lecturer in the Department of Languages. Vue currently serves on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Alumni Board of Directors, Hmong Mutual Assistance Association Board of Directors, and the Chancellor's Task Force on Minority Recruitment and Retention. Vue served on the Eau Claire County Housing authority for one term, from 1993 to 1996. |
