Trish Cummins is an American Politician. Cummins served on the Eau Claire Area School District Board of Education from 2006 to 2009. She was elected once again to the board in 2011 and re-elected in 2014. Cummins is the founder and owner of "The Forage" a shared-use community kitchen and a dining/workshop area in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She is one of the founding members of the Eau Claire Public Schools Foundation. She opposed the 2011 Facilities Referendum in the district and was the single vote in opposition to the closing of Little Red School. Cummins has come out in support of the Confluence Project in Eau Claire. Cummins left the board in April 2009, having decided against seeking re-election. She said she had become disillusioned with district operations, and her frustrations culminated in former ECASD Superintendent William Klaus' attempt to obtain his $267,209 retirement stipend despite the fact he continued to work for the district and without documented board approval of that action. After his $1.19 million lawsuit against the district was dismissed in July 2013, Cummins became interested in returning to the board.
