Daniel Dauplaise

Daniel Dauplaise is an American politician. Dauplaise, a Democrat, has been Vice President of the Fairfield County Young Democrats since 2011.
Early life
Dauplaise was born in Stamford, Connecticut on April 29, 1985. He graduated high school from Trinity Catholic High School in 2003 in Stamford Connecticut. He then went on to study at Cornell University and currently studies law at Pace Law School.
Professional career
Dauplaise was a middle school special education teacher in East Harlem. He was also a member of the American Federation of Teachers. He also served in the New York City Teaching Fellows. Dauplaise then moved to Washington D.C. where he worked for Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT) and Rep. Ed Pastor (D-AZ). Dauplaise has also volunteered in the community since the age of 16.
In 2011 Dauplaise was elected to the executive board of the Fairfield County Young Democrats
State Senate Race
Dauplaise is currently seeking election to the Connecticut State Senate from District 36 which comprises Stamford (Part), Greenwich (All), and New Canaan (Part). Dauplaise was nominated as the Democratic candidate for this seat on May 21, 2012.
Personal life
Dauplaise is a 1st generation American whose parent immigrated to the United States from Cuba in 1961. Dauplaise has served as an educator and community volunteer in Stamford for years. He is currently seeking a position on the Connecticut State Senate.
