Charles Hugh Smith (born 1953) is an American writer and economic commentator. He is the chief writer for the daily blog site "Of Two Minds", started in 2005. He graduated from the University of Hawaii, Manoa in Honolulu. Charles Hugh Smith resides in Berkeley, California and Hilo, Hawaii. Smith has written pieces for The American Conservative and PeakProsperity.com. along with interviews at Mises Institute. Recognition Of Two minds blog has been listed No. 7 in CNBC's top alternative financial sites.
