Chaos Merchant is a term created by the Church of Scientology's founder, L. Ron Hubbard. Merchants whose product creates chaos, or merchants whose income increases if chaos becomes greater, are collectively grouped as Chaos Merchants or Merchants of Chaos. Opposite a chaotic environment, or a chaotic world, would be a peaceful, orderly world. Who are these people * Street drug dealers. * Secretive international arms trade dealers who illegally sell quantities of weapons. * The news industry. Newspapers were specified by Hubbard to be Chaos Merchants. * Police, fire, and emergency services. |
