Rcatholic (talk) 16:02, 23 December 2008 (UTC) Abortion The belief that a child's rights are being radically denied in abortion is Catholic morality. The Roman Catholic Church believes that no one has the right to take the life of an innocent person. This belief is taught in thier churches. The Roman Catholic Faith teaches how the baby is a separate human being, distinct from his or her mother. How each child has his or her own unique genetic identity, gender, heartbeat, brain waves, eyes, hands, feet, and so on. The Church acknowlegdes that women do have certain rights over thier bodies, just as men do, but these rights are limited when they affect other people's rights. Abortion directly involves at least two bodies: the body of the mother and that of her unborn child. The Bible teaches that children are a gift from God. God knows each child from his or her first moment in the womb (Jer 1:5; Is 41:2, 44:24; CCC 2270). Although the Catholic church teaches this, not all followers of Roman Catholicism believe these teachings.
