Carolina Aubele

Carolina Aubele - Born in Buenos Aires in 1973, Artist and designer. Barbie dolls were her first clients. Upon turning 14, she realized that fashion design was all she wanted to do and took up studies of textile art, tailoring and dressmaking. She also studied painting, sculpture and plastic arts. The brilliant Argentinian designer Manuel Lamarca was her mentor.
She traveled to Europe to study at the Saga international Design Center in Denmark in 1990 and in 1994 for a turor's seminar.
She made the master degree in design direction at the Domus Academy in Milan, Italy.
Regarding image counseling, she completed her studies in Executive Packaging - Non verbal communication Professional garments and business etiquette at the House of color from London. In addition to her studies related to the fashion world, Carolina had another passion: Film direction, which she also studied at the F.U.C. (School of cinema Foundation), Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Some of her first jobs consisted of providing services of product image and fashion consultancy for brands such as Diesel international and Via Vai, together with Alan Faena and Adriana Costantini among others.
In 1994 she launched her own fashion design trade name , which in 1998 became Carolina Aubele “Couture Culture”, bride's dresses and tailored haute couture. Many of her clients were important Argentinian celebrities.
Her collections have been exhibited in NYC, S.Etienne- France, Dublin, Rio de Janeiro, San Pablo and Buenos Aires.
Since 2007 Carolina Aubele sales her contemporary collections from New York to the international market.
In October 2007, Aguilar, part of Santillana publishing company published Secretos del Vestidor (Secrets from the walking closet) her first book on fashion and personal image, a new beauty concept and is writing a weekly column for La Nación newspaper with a theme related to her book.
She also worked in costume design and styling in international campaigns such as Martini, Davidoff, Pantene, Coca Cola, V.W, Renault, Nissan, Toyota, Henessy and Motorola, with directors such as Jake Scott, Dawn Shadford, Michael Haussman, Anthony Atanasio, Valerie Martinez , Tarzeem and Luis Puenzo, among others.
In 1995, after teaching at the university of Buenos Aires, she opened up a fashion design and image institute. Maison Aubele . Her work in education is very known in Buenos Aires and Latin América . The programs and curricula are “avant garde” and exclusively designed by Carolina Aubele .
Carolina Aubele enriches her work in the fields of fashion and image with what she calls Art Couture, paintings sculptures and inks are her favourite techniques.
On the 35th anniversary of the creation of Barbie doll, she was hired to design the costumes of a Barbie which is part of the “Barbie Latin America collection” , for Mattel's international catalog.
