The New Rochelle Council on the Arts, or NRCA, is an agency serving the city of New Rochelle in Westchester County, New York. The council is a 501(c)(3) organization. It was created in 1975 by the New Rochelle City Council, and became an independent in 2005. The members of the Board of Directors of the NRCA are individuals who are interested in the arts and culture of New Rochelle. The mission of the council, as stated on its website, is to "stimulate and encourage the study and presentation of the performing and fine arts", "to foster and support arts in the community and to serve as a portal to the arts for New Rochelle residents and community members" and "to create opportunities for the public to encounter and explore art and increase access to the arts in New Rochelle". |
