Richard Baird

Richard Baird is a freelance designer based in the United Kingdom with four years of commercial design experience.
Life and work
Richard studied furniture and product design at Nottingham Trent University and became a freelance graphic designer in 2005.
His work now spans packaging and graphic design, brand development and illustration and he works across a variety of industries including cosmeceuticals, retail and computer gaming. Prominent work includes label conceptualisation for E & J Gallo Winery and brand development for the premium cosmetics company Scarlett & George. His Illustrative work features in Sony’s virtual world PlayStation Home.
His article ‘A bumpy ride, but it's worth it - going freelance’ was published in Design Week in 2007 and he is a design commentator with quotes featuring in the Daily Mail. His work can be seen in a number of publications including ‘Symbols, Pictograms and Silhouettes’ published by Index Books.
Richard has exhibited work in London, Nottingham and the Czech Republic and worked for clients in California, South Africa, Kuala Lumpur and China.
