Matthew Porter (born 16 January 1980) became the youngest Chief Executive in the history of the Football League when, in March 2006, he was made CEO and Director of Leyton Orient F.C. Having worked for the club, and chairman Barry Hearn's Matchroom Sport group, since July 2001, he progressed from the role of Press Officer and is also the Chief Executive for the Professional Darts Corporation. Educated at Wanstead High School, he studied Politics and Modern Languages at the University of East Anglia and became a regular reporter and commentator on Capital Gold Sport and BBC London radio as well as working on a freelance basis for numerous national newspapers, including The Sun, Daily Telegraph and News Of The World.
