Carlos Wappers (1865-1898) was an Argentine commander, Military attaché in Belgium. Biography Carlos Wappers was born at his family's town house in Buenos Aires, the second son of Augusto Wappers (born in Belgium) and Clemencia Arriola. His wife was Ernestina Josefina Lavalle, daughter of a patrician family porteña. Wappers was graduated as a Second lieutenant, by the year 1880, was sent to serve in the 2nd Battalion bound for Patagonia during expeditions against the Indians in southern Argentina. Among his comrades they were Saturnino Canavery and Lorenzo Vintter (future governor of . In 1890 Wappers participates in the defense of the government of Miguel Juárez Celman, during The Revolution of the Park (conflict where he was wounded).
