Growing up in Ponta Grossa, he attended the former Sagrada Família High School, although he was enrolled in the Music classes at age of 7, Choir singing, and trumpet/snare drum, with minor success. After watching his uncle playing guitar so well, Canteri became fascinated with the instrument, and when he turned 12, his uncle gave all of his equipament for him, consisted in a eletric guitar, a small amplifier and a distortion pedal.
Soon after, his uncle gave to him a Joe Satriani and SRV cd, which began Canteri´s intense love for the blues/rock. Canteri started taking lessons from a local guitar-teacher, with 12 and soon became consumed with playing the instrument. His singular focus concerned his parents. At the age of 14 he started piano classes. At the age of 16, he formed a progressive rock band called Enigma, with Rush/Deep Purple/Dream Theater orientation, also received local awards for the Festivals, as best guitar player. When he was 17 he attended the Law School, also because it was impossible to his parents afford him in another city, to study Music.
After 4 years of practice, balancing Law and Music, he saved money and went to Los Angeles/CA to get focus just on the Music. He studied at Musicians Institute - Hollywood/CA, inside some workshop classes, but because of his low budget, he went for just few lessons. He played at blues/folk coffee houses and bars and other venues in the area, while he was still in University in Brazil.
He used to work as a vallet parking attendant at House of Blues, Sunset Boulevard, to pay his bills, also buy his American Fender Guitar, Taylor Acoustic Guitar, and afford the Music Education.
Early Career

There, he met a good friend, a bass player. They were travelling around California area, with his old SUV , doing acoustic gigs, playing live the songs. Besides that, he used to play a lot of different coffee houses and club avenues such as Karma Coffee House, The Green Room, Pig´n´Whistle, The Roxy, and others. Back in Brazil, Carlos used to work as a Judge Advisor, at Second Family Law Court, in his home town. Also, worked with Law Offices, and all inside Law areas.

She went to hospital several times, and in March, 2010, because of Hyperglicemia crises, she passed away, result from a heart attack.
His mom always support him to pursuit Music, she was really a espiritual person, and always enjoyed Carlos songs.
The upcoming first album called Blue Circle, has the name, pretty much because of the diabetes symbol Blue Circle. That symbol´s related with Life, Faith, Unity, and it can be relationed with the Unity in the world. Carlos think that Music can bring Union between people, between Cultures.
