Carlito Ostria

Carlito Ruizo Ostria was born in San Francisco, Camotes, Cebu on December 3, 1959. His parents were Luis Ostria and Godofreda Ruizo. He was third in the family with four (4) brothers and four (4) sisters.
Early life
He spent his early life (from birth to seven years old) in Cebu, and then migrated at different places, looking for a greener pasture.. At 8, he was in Samar, Leyte with his whole family. He started his schooling (Grade One) at the age of 10 in General Santos City where he achieved the highest honor. Unfortunately, at his second and third year in elementary, he transferred to Bukidnon together with the whole family, where he still maintained his honor . Two years after, they moved again to Surigao del Sur. There, they spent three years. Luckily, they went back to General Santos City to finish his sixth level in elementary at the age of 17.
After graduating elementary, he strived for a scholarship. He auditioned to be a member of a band, and luckily, at first, he was granted a fifty percent discount. Upon continuous striving, he was given almost a hundred percent scholarship for three consecutive years, for he alone knew how to play the lyre and no one can substitute him.
Unexpectedly, an opportunity knocked at his door. His grandma found a balikbayan husband and requested him to stay in Kalibo, Aklan to continue his fourth year in high school. Without any hesitation, he grabbed the opportunity. With a dedicated and obedient heart, he was able to survive despite how terror his grandparent’s were. Then, they offered him to study in college, this time, in Manila.
College Life
In May, 1979, he enrolled at Jose Rizal College (now, Jose Rizal University) taking up Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) Major in Accounting. He used to attend at Jesus is Lord Fellowship and became a community pastor in Mandaluyong and Taguig area for three years.
Ministries
In November, 1986, he founded Jesus the Lord and Savior Church Int’l., Inc. He was able to pursue his biblical studies taking up Bachelor of Ministerial Studies in Cathedral of Praise College in Pasay City. In 2002, he also founded Touchlife International Association of Ministries (now globally known as Touchlife Ministries International, Inc. with fifteen different ministries to cater our kababayans. Then, he pursued his master’s degree in Christian Education and graduated in 2006.
He started his career in broadcasting in 1997 and in 2000 he had also undergone six-month training in Radio Communication and a short course in Journalism. He also undergone many trainings in news writing under the tutelage of Institute for Studies of Asian Churches & Culture (ISACC) and became a writer in Path Finder Magazine in 2002 and started his own publication in 2005 with Touchlife Express Balita where he received an award in Performing Arts in his Alma Mater last November, 2006. He’s name was posted in the internet together with the fame and famous in our country like Joe Taruc among others.
He had already broadcasted in many AM radio stations like DZXQ, DWAD, DWBL, DZRH, DWDD, Radio Veritas and others. He was also a National spokesperson of Bantay Bayan Foundation for 5 years.
At present, he is the President of Touchlife Ministries International, Inc; a former Secretary-General and one of the directors of ORAS; Vice-Chairman of APO Credit Cooperative; member of Rotary International 3810 RI Manila Circle; member of Mandaluyong Christian Churches Association (MCCA).
