Cara Salimando

Cara Salimando is an American singer, songwriter and recording artist from Little Silver, New Jersey. She was born in 1992 and attended Red Bank Regional High School as a vocal performance major.
Career
In 2009, Salimando was discovered while performing locally in New Jersey, and soon after signed to SRP Records (Evan Rogers, Carl Sturken) in affiliation with Universal Motown via Sylvia Rhone. The following year Salimando spent time touring with artists Ingrid Michaelson and Mat Kearney on their co-headlining tour.
In 2011 Salimando signed a publishing deal with Glassnote Records (Daniel Glass) and began her career as a songwriter. Since then, Salimando has written music for Cheryl Cole, Sabrina Carpenter, FRANKMUSIK, Hey Violet, Colette Carr, and EDM acts New World Punx (Markus Schultz, Ferry Corsten) and Quilinez.
Salimando started a dream pop band, Novelette, in 2013, releasing her debut full length under this moniker, an LP titled "Everything is Happening Now".
Salimando's compositions have appeared in the soundtracks for Vacation (2015) and Broad City Season 3 (Comedy Central).
Cara Salimando now resides in Los Angeles.
