Lolene "Miss Foo Foo" Everett is a recording artist and songwriter born in Bristol, UK on March 12, 1985. She was raised by her Mother Caroline and Grandmother Eileen.
She grew up performing in various professional musical theater productions and attended her first dance class at the Bristol School Of Dance Academy at 2 years old. She went on to practice ballet, tap and modern dance up until she was 15 and won many prestigious awards during her time as a dancer.
As a teen, Lolene was involved in various TV productions for the BBC and HTV but wanted to follow her passion and become a musician. While in Bristol, Lolene began singing backing vocals for Martina Topley-Bird (vocalist for Tricky). She also often collaborated with local drum and bass pioneer Roni Size.
Lolene moved to London after school to become a pop singer and quickly signed a development deal with BMG Records. Fronting their latest girl group, Holla, Lolene wrote all the songs for the group. She left the band a year later to pursue a solo career.
Lolene moved to Los Angeles and was signed to Beluga Heights/Sony ATV in 2008 after being discovered by multi-platinum hit record producer Jonathan 'J.R' Rotem (Rick Ross, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Sean Kingston) and his manager Zach Katz. Hired initially as a writer, Lolene began crafting her sound with the help of Rotem and other A-list producers.
Lolene can be heard on the Rick Ross ft. T-Pain single "The Boss" singing background vocals.
Lolene also writes for major artists and often collaborates with award winning writer Andreas Carlsson (Backstreet Boys, N Sync, Celine Dion). She also often writes with with Makeba Riddick (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyonce), Evan Bogart (The Writing Camp), Danja (Britney Spears, Nelly Furtado, Timberland), Harvey Mason Jr. (Underdogs) and Christina Milian.
Influenced heavily by Madonna, Prince, Grace Jones and Neneh Cherry, Lolene took her love of throw back music mixed it with her pop roots, coining the term Vintage POP.
Focusing on her own music, Lolene currently resides in Los Angeles where she is completing her debut album Electrick Hotel.
