The Canadian Forces Aerospace Warfare Centre (CFAWC) is an Canadian Air Force lodger unit based at 8 Wing Trenton, with a sub unit located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was established in October 2005 and reports to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS). Activities include education, research and air-related military doctrine. Branches CFAWC consists of the following branches: * Analysis & Lessons Learned (A&LL) * Concepts & Doctrine Development (C&DD) * Education & Specialty Training (EST) * Strategic Aerospace Assessment & Liaison (SARAL) * CFAWC Ottawa (Detachment) ** Air Force Experimentation Centre (AFEC) ** Distributed Mission Operations Centre (DMOC) ** Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS) ** Operational Research & Analysis (OR&A) ** Synthetic Environment Coordination Office (SECO) The Canadian Air Force Journal The Canadian Air Force Journal is the official publication of the Chief of the Air Staff and is published quarterly. It is a forum for discussing concepts, issues and ideas central to aerospace power. The journal is dedicated to disseminating the ideas and opinions of Air Force personnel and civilians who have an interest in issues of aerospace power. CFAWC also hosts the annual "Canadian Air Force Historical Workshop".
