Experience In January 2009, Stahlsmith was one of ten in the USAF selected by USAFCENT for Air Operations Database Management, to operate within a highly disciplined classified environment. He served as the lowest ever ranking specialist in aerospace operations, being an Airman First Class upon election by the USAFCENT senior air operations database manager, James Bradshaw (subject matter expert). His internship with Mr. Bradshaw began after deployment, when he pioneered training at a new Air Operations Center (soon after the inactivation of the Combat Plans and Combat Operations squadrons, March 3, 2008.) Stahlsmith audited procedural architecture and maximized data validation for detailed ATOs, command and control air operations, between 2008 and 2010, operating in a uniquely conjoined Combat Plans/Combat Operations theater war environment. [http://en. .org/wiki/Keir_H._Stahlsmith#cite_note-0] Stahlsmith also designed the first standardized platform for secure aerospace operations conducted for execution of processed air battle plans, developing methods and integrating resources with Theater Battle Management Core Systems and Global Command and Control System. [http://en. .org/wiki/Keir_H._Stahlsmith#cite_note-0] These efforts were in accordance with the Secretary of the Air Force, Michael Donley, who also expressed a primary goal of the USAF to achieve modernization. During his service, he was dedicated to testing a variety of support systems and equipment in preparation for future planned missions and executed command and control operations. Stahlsmith was an air operations instructor at Shaw AFB before he was honorably discharged from USAF service in March 2010. The experiences and accomplishments of Sergeant Stahlsmith are an historical example of fourth generation warfare (4GW), and the ever-growing nature of modern warfare in general, specifically concerning "centralized control and decentralized execution" posture of aerial warfare in the 21st century (e.g. - politics, war, science, technology, and space exploration).
