Overview
Cameta Camera owner Bill Rosinger Rosinger, ran the business for 20 years as an offline enterprise before finally trying eBay. During the process of filing an insurance claim for theft after discovering that one of his employees was stealing used merchandise from him and selling it on eBay, Rosinger had to delve deeply into eBay and become thoroughly familiar with their record-keeping procedures and general methods of operation. Today Cameta Camera is a Titanium PowerSeller (eBay User ID: cametaauctions) that may have thousands of listings open at a time. As a result of the success of selling on eBay Cameta’s staff grew from approximately 10 employees to 55 in just three to four years time. Also, doing business on eBay transformed Cameta into an Internet powerhouse as the largest dollar volume eBay seller of cameras and photo equipment.
