Cameron Herold

Cameron Herold (1965) was born in Toronto, and is a Canadian entrepreneur, business writer and coach. He is best known for being the Chief Operating Officer of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? from late 2000 to 2007. Herold helped the company grow into more than 330 new locations over the next 6 years. Sales at 1-800-GOT-JUNK grew from $2M to $125M during his tenure.
In 2007, Herold started a consulting firm, BackPocket COO, which helped mentor entrepreneurs, lecture, and sell DVDs with advice. He was named to the Board of Advisors of Nurse-Next-Door.
As of 2016, Herold launched and is currently head of the COO Alliance, which coaches COOs. Herold also mentored the Toronto-based company I Love Rewards.
Herold speaks and writes about entrepreneurship and has been featured on the subject in Time, Fast Company, Inc, Al Jazeera, Fortune, and Forbes. In 2011, Herold published a business book called Double Double. He is also a lecturer at EO and MIT’s Entrepreneurial Masters Program. He is currently living in Phoenix, Arizona.<ref name=":1" />
