Brian Bowie is a South African born 12 February 1979, called Brain, Zowie (in-reference to Zowie Bowie) or Mowie by his friends. He spent 15 months in Antarctica at the SANAE base from December 2004 to February 2006. He was the research space physics engineer. He then spent 13 months on Gough Island from September 2006 to October 2007, as the Team leader and Radio technician. In February and March 2009 Brian completed the Otter Trail in the Tsitsikamma National Park which straddles the Eastern Cape and Western Cape of South Africa. Brian is a co-producer on The 1 Second Film. Brian is cross-dominant. Brian supports Movember. |
