Brian Beedenbender

Brian Beedenbender (born May 11, 1980) is an American politician.
He is a former Suffolk County, New York Legislator, and former Chief of Staff to Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko.
Early life and education
Beedenbender grew up in Selden, New York. He received his Bachelor's degree from James Madison University and his Master's degree from the University of Delaware.
Political career
Suffolk County Legislator
Beedenbender won his election for Suffolk County Legislature for District 4 in 2007 at age 27.
During his term as Suffolk County Legislator, Beedenbender sponsored legislation to create Suffolk County Open Access, a website where residents and constituents can view financial and ethical information for governments and elected officials. He focused on veterans issues, creating a program to help veterans facing foreclosure and secured funding for a veteran's monument, and also worked on quality of life issues such as roads and parks. Beedenbender also made proposals to the Brookhaven Town Board to streamline Town services and encourage public-private partnerships to save the Town money.
Beedenbender was selected as the Democrat nominee to run for Brookhaven Supervisor after Mark Lesko vacated his seat to become the Executive Director of Accelerate Long Island in September 2012.
