Bob Dingethal

Bob Dingethal is an environmentalist and political candidate.
Personal life and education
Dingethal earned a bachelor's degree in communications from San Jose State University in 1984, and an MPA from Washington State University in 2008.
Career
Dingethal is the former southwest Washington director for Senator Maria Cantwell. Dingethal is currently the executive director of the Gifford Pinchot Task Force, which supports sustainable forest management in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Dingethal has opposed efforts to mine on Mt. St. Helens. Under Dingethal, the Gifford-Pinchot Task Force has worked to expose children to the outdoors. Dingethal has also served as a telecommunications executive.
Dingethal has been involved with the Vancouver Police Activities League, the Chkalov Society, the Vancouver-Clark County Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, and the Clark County Historical Society and Museum.
Political candidacy
Dingethal is running for Congress in Washington's 3rd congressional district. The seat is currently held by Republican Jaime Herrera Beutler.<ref name=Columbian />
