Black Eyed Kids

Black Eyed Kids are a supposed paranormal phenomenon which was first written about in a post to the usenet group alt.folklore.ghost-stories in 1998.
The post by Texas resident Brian Bethel was crossposted to ghosts.org. According to Bethel, two children with black eyes approached his car asking to be let in. He initially thought nothing of opening the door, but then he realised that their eyes were pure black. He was filled with a feeling of dread. When he refused to open the door, the children insisted more urgently, threatening him. Eventually, they divulged that they could not enter the car unless they were invited. Reports of Black Eyed Kids usually include references to the children urgently needing to be invited in to homes or cars, and the unexplicable fear they engender in the people they approach. The children are said to dress in suitable clothing for the time period, and almost all reports of their appearance take place at night or in the late afternoon close to dusk.
Believers have posited that the Black Eyed Kids are demons; others have suggested that they are aliens.<ref name="book1"/> Many sceptics have noted that this phenomenon could be easily faked by children buying all-black contact lenses. But black contact lenses are very expensive. Alternatively, skeptics point out, there is no documented evidence suggesting that these children exist, and the story could simply have been fabricated by people with overactive imaginations and easy access to the Internet, over which the reports have proliferated.<ref name="ufo"/>
