Birdeye is an American B2B reputation and customer experience platform founded in 2012 with its headquarters in Palo Alto, California.
Background
Birdeye was founded in 2012 by Naveen Gupta who served as the Chief Product Officer at RingCentral, and Neeraj Gupta, who worked at Oracle and as an engineering architect.
In 2015, Birdeye received a total of $8 million from a series A funding round. The round was led by led by Trinity Ventures, Marc Benioff, and Jerry Yang.
In 2017, Birdeye received $25 million from a Series B funding round led by World Innovation Lab (WiL) with additional funding from Trinity Ventures. In 2022, Birdeye received $60 million of a Series C funding round led by the American technology-focused company, Accel-KKR. Birdeye has received $93 million in total raised via venture capital funding until 2022.
In 2021, Birdeye introduced a messaging system that allowed businesses to connect with their customers via texting and video chat on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The company was the finalist in the SaaS Awards in its sixth year of software innovation.
