Bihar Startup Policy

The Bihar government launched the Bihar Startup Policy 2017 with Rs. 500cr fund with the aim of attracting entrepreneurs and startups.
On , the Bihar government launched a campaign called "Bano Udyami" to encourage youth to start new businesses.
In May 2019, the "Bihar Entrepreneurs Association" decided to set up the Artificial Intelligence - Centre of Excellence" in Patna; it would be the first of its kind in East India.
In March 2021, Jibesh Kumar stated at 28th Convergence India 2021 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi that over 104 startups have already been incubated under the Bihar Startup Policy, that investments in Bihar's IT sector were expected to grow, and that three "IT parks" at Rajgir, Bihta, and Patna were under construction.
