Aussie Broadband

Aussie Broadband is an Australian internet service provider based in Warrnambool, Victoria.

Aussie Broadband was originally formed as a subsidiary of Westvic Broadband to sell satellite internet plans using iPstar technology.

Utilising the IPSTAR satellite, they are able to provide Internet services to regional Australians with the assistance of the Australian Broadband Guarantee. This funding by the Australian Federal government allows Australians living in remote and rural areas access to internet services at rates comparable to metro users.

Aussie Broadband was first granted registration under the Australian Federal government's HiBIS scheme in 2004 and is currently one of the twelve ISP's funded under the Australian Broadband Guarantee funding scheme.

Aussie Broadband also owns a large Wireless & ADSL2+ Network in regional Victoria which spans from Bairnsdale in the East to Portland in the West, and has major interconnection points of presence in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane.
