Big Sky Flag

The Big Sky Flag Flag is a design proposed by a local resident of Billings, Montana to replace the current flag of Montana. The current Montana flag was adopted in 1985 and according to NAVA 2001 State/Provincial Flag Survey ranked Montana's current flag at number 70 and among the 10 worst designs. The designer claim superiority on several points: high visibility, simple to remember, clean design, attractive, unique, inclusive of multiple historical legacie and will create unity and cohesion.
Design
The Big Sky Flag is a horizontal tri-color with three different shades of blue that represent the sky at various times. The top color is dark blue, that represents the sky at night, the middle Color is blue,that represents the sky in transition, and the bottom color, light blue, represents the sky during the day.
