Bible App is a bible reader program for Apple Mac OS X developed by Surgeworks, Inc. in partnership with the Divine Office Catholic Ministry. It was first released in June 2011 on the Mac App Store. The Bible App has been the first bible reader program on the Mac App Store to provide the bible in English, Latin, German, Italian, French, Spanish and Croatian and two editions of the new testament in Greek and has been in the top 10 for paid apps in the Reference category since its initial release. The application provides an internal search engine that supports keyword search and standard notation for passages lookup (such as John 1:1-18). Users can highlight verses and access all selections from dedicated screens where searches and highlights are organized by bible version and date. |
