Appulous

Appulous is a web service for the iPhone and iPod Touch created by Kyek which allows users to browse an index of cracked apps and provide index of download links hosted on file uploading sites such as MediaFire and dedicated cracked app uploading sites such as AppScene. Appulous is designed to allow users to try out paid iPhone applications on the App Store before buying them as Apple does not provide adaquate trial method to experience the apps fully before purchase, which is problematic considering the large amounts of poor quality apps currently registered on the App Store and that users are given only the deveoper's descriptions and screenshots to determine their purchase. The applications registered on Appulous have been developed with the iPhone SDK, but the distribution is not authorized by Apple. The applications can be downloaded directly to an iPhone or iPod Touch whereby an .ipa installer, such as Installous or Install0us, will allow unsigned applications to be installed with ease. An iPhone or iPod Touch must be jailbroken to allow access to patch Apple's application signature checker to install the unsigned applications.

Legal Issues
The Appulous Team have received plenty of DMCA notices from the developers of the applications.
