Beyaz Arif Akbas

Beyaz Arif Akbas (1979) was born in Istanbul. For five years he book review in Turkey various newspapers. Akbas was a poet and writer. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi University. (Department of Sociology) He was the editor-in-chief of the Shahdamar literary magazine. Beyaz's poems and articles were published in magazines such as Yediiklim, Dergah, Kelime, Virgul, Shahdamar, Radikal Kitap, Yenisafak Kitap, Star, and Birgun Kitap. Love, mainly through its mystic character, is a popular theme of Beyaz's works.
In his youth he was influenced by Ottoman court literature. From 1995 onwards, he used free form and adapted styles and techniques from Western poetry. His poems contain themes that harken to cultural ties to Persia, Siberia, Sufism and India.
