Being Born Again Couture is a Australian one night fashion show, intended to become annual, resulting of a collaboration between fashion designers and artists. Davina Reichman founded the show and is the Managing Director The show is intended to focus on creative aspects of fashion design, rather than on retail sales. The works are developed by fashion designers and artists, who combine their skills to create couture garments. The first show was held on 22 April 2010, at the Cell Block Feature in Darlinghurst, Sydney. The 2010 show featured Australian fashion designers Akira Isogawa, Nicola Finetti, Marnie Skillings, Michael Lo Sordo, and and Dhini Pararajasingham collaborating with Australian artists Tracey Moffatt, Lindy Lee, Guy Peppin, Christopher Horder, and Pat Brassington.<ref name=SMH2010/> |
