BasauriCon1.0 is a science fiction convention born to be held annually in Basauri (Biscay, Spain). Conceived as a different kind of convention, not massive but smaller, where fans can enjoy the proximity of the guests in a more familiar way. It was created for the purpose of allowing fans to be able to meet other fans from Europe and from the rest of the continents in a familiar environment. History Being conventions something not common in Spain, first edition ocurred on February 2010, with people coming from all over the world and reached the number of 350 assistants Programming Three days in which fans had the opportunity to ask the guests all they wanted to know about the past, present and future of their professional projects among other activities such as contests, conferences, concert by Huskers, cosplay, etc. Attendees could chose between 4 kind of tickets: VIP, Gold, Weekend, and saturday/sunday A radio program called Freakytown was recorded live with the intervention of our guests during the convention. 2010 Guests Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell from Battlestar Galactica 2003 See Also
