El Expreso del Rock

“El Expreso del Rock” is an on-line rock station created and directed by Andrés Durán, a Colombian rock radio broadcaster and producer. “El Expreso del Rock” started as a weekly Sunday four hour program on 88.9 fm, “Superestación” in Bogotá. This radio program started in January, 1990. The program segments focused on the history of blues, rock and metal genres such as, classic metal, heavy metal, trash metal, speed metal, black metal and white metal among others. The program was transmitted during eleven years and it presented rock and metal album releases, interviews with metal, blues and rock musicians. This radio program also had contests with the audience to raffle concert tickets and broadcast rock events and festivals such as Lollapalooza, Coachella Fest, Ozzfest, Foundations Forum, Los Angeles - California, 1994, 1996, 1997, G3 Tour 2001 and “Rock al Parque”. The last program broadcasting on 88.9 Su was on September 30, 2001. After that, the program became a 24- hour internet rock station the on June 2, 2002. This internet station presents a countdown called Top Metal Detector that is also broadcast on Radiónica Station.
