Balderdash Puppets is an Australian puppet company founded in 2001. Balderdash Puppets founding members are Brian Craddock and Daniel Anderson. The company was proliferate from 2001 to 2003, with live performances from a booth-style theatre that was able to be erected in less than a minute. Balderdash Puppets performed at the International One Van Puppet Festival in the Blue Mountains and Kingaroy's Peanut Festival in Queensland, and gave their time to various charity events such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Starlight Foundation (which made an appearance in the SBS documentary Donkey in Lahore ) and the Brisbane Ethnic Music & Arts Festival. The company also conducted puppet construction workshops for schools, using latex and fur. Balderdash Puppets saw a lull between the years of 2004 and 2005, and in 2006 they began to experiment with the concept of a television show based around their goblin characters Hobble and Snitch, with earnest interest locally. The project stalled however, and in its place new performances were devised with the production of The Little Jake Show. With this new show, the company toured extensively for two years on a library circuit, and as far afield as Charleville for performances, workshops and to raise awareness of the plight of the bilby. In 2015, Balderdash Puppets approached again the medium of film and produced an online series called The Hobble & Snitch Show.
