Baba Zumbi

Baba Zumbi (Zumbi Zoom) is an American music producer and MC best known as half of the Hip-Hop duo Zion I. Born in Oakland, California Graduating from De La Salle High School in 1991, Zumbi chose to enroll into college while starting his musical career. Majoring in Psychology, Zumbi graduated from Morehouse College in 1995.
After gaining experience upon signing to major label Tommy Boy in the late 90′s, he applied that experience to the independent world of Rap. Zumbi has recorded with varied artists ranging from Linkin Park to Too $hort to Rebelution.
As the MC of Bay Area group Zion I, Zumbi has released 6 albums and a run of his Science of Breath mixtapes. Building from the mixtape series, Zumbi also started the “Science of Breath Radio” show which airs once a week on AllDayPlay.fm. On October 12, 2010 Zumbi released the album "The Burnerz" featuring the hip hop group The ARE he met while touring in Germany.. His most recent release, on November 9th of 2010, is .
