ByrdGang

Byrd Gang is a Harlem-based hip hop group.
History
The group was formed by Jim Jones while still a member of The Diplomats. Their first release in 2006 was actually planned as a collaboration album with Jim Jones, Max B, Stack Bundles, NOE, and Mel Matrix. Though they decided to release a mixtape,M.O.B.: Members of Byrdgang, and the group was formed.
The group suffered a loss, when rapper Stack Bundles was shot and killed. Around the same time, Max B severed ties with Jim Jones and Byrd Gang and began dissing them on mixtapes and interviews. The crews have yet to reconcile.
Some time after releasing their sequel mixtape, M.O.B.: Members of Byrdgang 2, Jim Jones stated that their first studio album, M.O.B.: The Album, was being released July 1, 2008. The first week sales were disappointing, only 17,000 copies were sold.
