Theory:101 is an American hip hop group from Detroit, Michigan. Theory:101 formed after the sucess of their first mixtape Early career Theory:101 was the original concept of Detroit MC K.A. as a local rap collective. It has included, amongst others, Jaub,D,Smokey,Weth,Jody,Cush,AJ,K.A., & others. The idea was to form a militia of Detroit's most talented rappers, in the vein of what hip hop was in the 90's. Initially however, they had problems finding this many rappers locally with enough talent. Rappers such as Chrissy, Jody, D and Cush were all once affiliated with Theory:101 , but most left the group during its early stages. In 2007 and through 2008, its members began establishing reputations locally. K.A. gained local sucess with his group at the time The O.K. which he formed with Weth. In 2008 the local MCs started collaborating, their first song being Armor G's No Chaser (Remix). 2009 saw the release of Theory:101-The Mixtape.
